Very Rare, 1970’s Custom-Made Suit by Tom & Vivienne Scozzafava, 220 East 60th St., New York. Ivory lightweight Wool Gabardine with both light/dark Denim Flame-Style Appliqué. Acquired from the estate of the original wearer, who at that time modeled in Manhattan. Not much information about the makers, other than they were extremely skilled with Appliqué & their garments were very pricey (noted in an article from New York Magazine, April, 1991). They incorporated this particular label in August, 1987 & it was dissolved a few months later. Jacket is satin lined, Indian Head Figural Plastic buttons, pants have metal zipper. Measures Chest-35″, Waist-28″, Sleeve-23 3/4″, Shoulder seam to seam-15 1/2″, Length rear collar seam to hem-28″. Pants Waist-25″, Hip-34″, Inseam-34 1/2″, Rise-12″. Showing normal wear with a lot of staining & spotting, (much of which I show here) as well as intermittent yellowing/dirt at collar crease. I do not have a reliable dry-cleaner in my small town, (hence this suit has not been dry-cleaned) & is being sold “as-found”.
