World War 2 Occupied Japan 1940s Genuine Ivory “God of Fortune” Toshikane Screw-Back Figural Earrings, each measures 1″ long, 9/16″ wide. In the original Silk and Velvet lined Box, the inside lid reads “Kita Shoji K.K. Tokyo Japan”. The Kita Shoji Company has been in business since at least 1920. One reference to the company lists them as Kita SHOJI K.K.  S.I-CHOME NIHONBASHITORI CHUO-KU TOKYO. They Manufactured and sold jewelry, gaming pieces such as chess sets & cribbage, as well as objects of art such as figurines. These were brought back with my great uncle who was a Soldier during WWII.
