1920’s SILK CREPE ART DECO BEADED FLAPPER WEDDING DRESS w/JEWELS & HEADPIECE
Worn as a Wedding Gown originally, 1920’s Hand-Beaded Silk Crepe Dress with Fantastic Art Deco Design Beading, Crystal Jewels & Prong-Set Rhinestones. The Gown is in overall Excellent Wearable Condition and was found with the remnants of the original Headpiece, also beaded with pearls & rhinestones & the Silk Opera-Length Gloves. The gown is a Petite Size, measures Chest-32″, Waist-32″, Hip-34″, Length shoulder to hem-37″. No rips/holes or tears, it has been reinforced under the arms (which were just beginning to show weakness) with a fine illusion mesh at the inside, this was very well executed. There are a few small areas of missing beads and a stain at the rear right back as shown. Shows yellowing under the edges of the arms. The Headpiece measures 13 1/2″ long, 2 3/4″ from top to peak at the front. No missing/loose beads noted at the headpiece, the strap and veil did not survive. The gloves show some minor soiling & are a small size. The original bride is pictured in the last family photograph, which is not included. A very rare grouping to find in both design & condition.
