1880’s Victorian wire mesh frame bonnet, ostrich plumes, mirror sequin palliettes & jet beads decorate this beauty. Label reads “Halsey London Hats imported 253 Fifth Avenue”. I’ve included a photo of a Bill of Sale for E.B.Halsey, importer, dated 1890 for reference only. The rear of the hat is adorned with velvet ribbons & Jet Glass Flowers. Plumage decorates the body of the hat. Hat is in good but delicate condition, the paillettes are dusty with surface dirt & there will be some bead loss/loose beads, which may also continue during shipping, just FYI. Rare & Wonderful example of Late 19th Century Victorian Millinery.
